Use of metal for crafting sculptures and other works of art in India is more than 5000 years old. There are several exemplary creations testifying mastery of ancient metallurgists through the ages. This book contains papers presented on metal art of India. These articles on ancient bronzes, gold imges, and use of gold in textiles give a deep insight into the various aesthetic and technical aspects of metal art of India.
