About the Book

The book differs from traditional manuals where problems of theory and practice are presented together.  In this book aboratory experiments are regarded as indeendent scientific research object, theoretical substantiation of the problem, and its experimental verification.

To solve the offered problems the student will have to apply the theories if quantum mechanics and of the structure of matter, as well as the theories of thermodynamics and of the kinetic regularities of chemical processes.

The book is intended for chemistry students at universities and specialist colleges.

Part one is devoted to the structure of matter, chemical bonds, valency, spatial configuration of molecules, the general regularities of chemical processes and types of reactions.  Part two is detailed study of the elements classified in groups according to Periodic Law.
