In recent years interest in Religion has grown and become more widespread. This book is the result of four years' work by eighteen expert contributors from nine countries to produce a lavishly-illustrated encyclopedia to cover all major religions and beliefs in a single volume work.

With around 4,500 entries Encyclopedia of World Religion is broadly ecumenical, respecting the perennial human search for truth.
